Sports Coach & Activity Officer

Salary: £16,000 - £19,000 per year (pro rata)

Hours of work : 10-15 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly skilled Sports Coach & Activity Officer to join a local dynamic and passionate charity that delivers high quality services assisting some of the most vulnerable people within our society.

We are a forward-thinking charity which is embarking on a path of growth and development, and these are interesting and challenging roles which has responsibility for ensuring high standards are adhered to across a varied portfolio of activities at a time of expansion.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with relevant professional experience delivering sport and activities both in a school and community setting including breakfast and afterschool provision, a confident approach to delivering high quality services and activities. This role requires strong time management and prioritisation skills in order to be effective.

The successful candidates will be looking to grow with our organisation and become a leading and inspirational figure for children, young people, and communities in Inner-City Nottingham and able to demonstrate understanding of the importance of Safeguarding and Child Protection in sport.

The successful candidate for the position will ideally: Understand the charity sector and reporting requirements, have a confident approach, and has excellent timekeeping, communication, and programme delivery routines.

We are looking for a high achiever who has ambition to progress in a growing organisation. The successful candidate will be able to drive and have access to own transport and carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post.

You will have extensive experience of working with young people, knowledge of basic sports strategies, and good communication skills. Epic requires our Sports Coaches to adhere to the high standards that is demonstrated across the team to ensure all young people enjoy and engage in uplifting sporting experiences.

The responsibilities of the post require the post-holder to have substantial, unsupervised and daily contact with children, young people and their families and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check.
